On March 5th, 1770, The Boston Massacre occurred as a result of a riot against new taxes imposed by the British Parliament. Governor Hutchinson (Addison Richards), John Adams (Whit Bissell) and Sam Adams (Robert Burton) discuss their rationale and reason for demonstrations and rioting. The Boston Tea Party, on December 16th, 1773, results in a riot. Three ships docked at Giffith's Wharf will result in tarifs and taxes, including one owned by merchant Francis Rotch (Michael Emmet). As Rotch debates with John Hancock (Russ Conway) and Sam Adams (Herbert Rudley), he must consider whether he will risk ruining his ship by departing the port with the tea onboard or risk betraying is country and his coutrmen by unloading the tea.
