"The first flight of the Wright brothers" on December 17, 1903 depicts the first flight by the Wright brothers, Wilbur (James Gregory) and Orville (William Prince). Professor Samuel Langley (Rusty Lane) from the Smithsonian Institute had recently failed. "The last hours of the Graf Spee" depicts the battle of the Nazi battleship and the British Navy on December 17, 1939 near the shores Montevideo, Uruguay. This threatens the neutrality of Uruguay and it becomes a political focal point in World War II.
