The main body of The Emirates through the eyes of an artist that follows the introductory pages of this work has been faithfully reproduced as a fascimile of one of the artist's journals, using paintings from his real journals and other prepared especially for this work while traveling the length and breadth of the United Arab Emirates with his good friend, UAE-based film-maker Mike Shepley. Their journey takes them through Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, the Northern Emirates, The East Coast and ends in the hearts of Hajar Mountains.
