Summary: This book presents the history and development of Islamic pottery through ninety selected vessels and tiles, displayed in 100 beautiful photographs. Early Islamic and Fatimid period luster wares are represented by outstanding vessels, and a large dish showing an enthroned ruler dating from the 14th century is found in the early Persian section. The Ilkhanid period is represented by many rare items, matched by a wide variety of previously unstudied Timurid vessels.
